Scout Family Accommodation

Our 6 bed Inca Suite is available to be booked throughout the year by Scout Leaders and their families.

This is ideal for those seeking out the comfort of a warm bed and some creature comforts, whilst still making the most of our idyllic location and outdoor self-led activities!

Location

Being situated in the heart of the New Forest we are ideally situated for hiking, mountain biking and exploring the wider New Forest area. We are within easy reach of both Southampton and Bournemouth and our closest supermarket is a few minute drive.

We also have some amazing local attractions close to our site, including Beaulieu Motor Museum, Paulton's Park and Splashdown. For further details about attractions, click HERE.

At Ferny Crofts we are passionate about getting young people outdoors, learning through outdoor activities, adventure, and having fun!

For this reason, we want to provide the opportunity for Scout Leaders to be able to book some time away with their families and be able to create some memories that will last a lifetime!

the accommodation - Inca Suite

This accommodation is located within the Ferny Crofts Scout Activity Centre grounds. It is a 6 bed self-contained unit, which is located towards the front of our site, next to our reception area and our larger accommodation unit, The Croft Centre. The site is used throughout the year by a variety of Youth Groups (such as Scouts, Guides and Schools) who stay within either our larger accommodation options or camp on our designated campsites. During peak months (May - September) the centre can become quite busy.

The Inca Suite includes a small lounge area with a sofa and armchair and a dining table with chairs. It has a fully kitted out kitchen which includes an oven, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer, microwave, a variety of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.

There is one wet room within the accommodation with a shower, toilet and sink.

The building benefits from underfloor heating, and consists of two bedrooms. One room has four beds (two sets of bunk beds) and the second has two single beds. Upon arrival the beds shall be made up with a sheet, duvet and pillow. There shall also be a towel provided for each guest staying.

Parking - we have a main carpark where you are able to leave you car, although you are able to drive up next to the accommodation to unpack your car.

What is the cost for the accommodation?

- £120 per night for up to 6 people.

- Minimum stay of 2 nights. Minimum stay of 3 nights on Bank Holiday weekends.

- Check in time is 6pm on arrival day (we may be able to adjust this to 2pm but this would depend on availability). Check out time is 12pm, except on a Sunday when it is 4pm.

Activities

Whilst you are on site, a number of our popular onsite self-led activities will be available to book, for you and your family to enjoy. These include:

Adventure Course - £5 per person
Aeroball - - £5 per person
Crazy Golf - £5 per person
Frisbee Golf - £5 per person
Table Tennis - £5 per person
Picture Trail - £2.50 per person
Nature trail - £2.50 per person
Cryptic Challenge - £2.50 per person

All the above activities are bookable for a 1 hour slot. If you are interested in booking any of these activities, you can either book in advance by contacting a member of our team via fernycrofts@fernycrofts.org.uk or you can pop into reception and talk to a member of our team, who will gladly look at what availability we have for you.

Pizza Oven

This is self-catered accommodation but if you fancy something slightly different, you can hire one of our onsite pizza ovens or BBQ's.

BBQ’s can be hired from us for £10 (bring your own charcoal/wood).

Our Pizza Ovens are £30 to hire for use over lunchtime (11-2pm) or dinner (5-8pm). Ferny Crofts will supply all of the cooking equipment and some firewood, however all required ingredients would need to be purchased and brought along to site.

We have several supermarkets that regularly delivery food shops to our site and the nearest store is only a 5 minute drive away.

Terms and Conditions

As a site we are unable to accept bookings from groups outside of registered Youth Organisations, so we have a few terms and conditions in place to ensure we keep within our policy outlines.

We are only able to accept family bookings for the Inca Suite, where one or both of the parents are Scout Leaders.
We are unable to accept family bookings for camping or either of our other accommodation options.
Bookings are only confirmed when full payment has been received along with proof of Scout Association Membership.
Full payment is required prior to arrival, either by electronic bank transfer or by credit/debit card.
There shall be Youth groups staying on site throughout the year. Therefore, consideration needs to be taken in regards to noise level and site curfew, plus all other site rules being adhered to during your stay.
Minimum stay of 2 nights. Except for Bank Holidays weekends where the minimum stay is 3 nights.

Once we received your booking form, we will place a provisional bookings for you and send across your booking information and how to pay.
